In view of Vienna’s stronger orientation towards the new EU member states and the resulting extension of the U2 subway line and the highway around Vienna, a new part of the city can be built in the middle of Donaustadt within the foreseeable future.The plan is to create a vital mix of green spaces, offices, apartments, enterprises as well as research, development and education facilities.
