Research (Interuniversity Department for Agrobio-technology IFA Tulln) and an academic education (University of Applied Sciences of “Biotechnological Processes” combined with a business park (Techno-Park Tulln and Technology Centre Tulln TZT) on the same site – this is supposed to provide a direct technology transfer between economy and science as well as a basis for an innovative future.
- Techno-Park Tulln: Area: 60.000m²
- IFA Tulln: biotechnological methods focusing on: biotechnology in plant and animal production, natural materials, analytical chemistry and environmental biotechnology
- Technology Centre Tulln: first stage of extension: 2.000m², opening in autumn 2005
- University of Applied Sciences “Biotechnological Processes” specialised on „natural materials“ and „bioanalytics and monitoring“
- Cooperations with companies such as: RomerLabs, Biomin and Biopure
