In the winter half-year 2024/25, Burgenland, a part of the VIENNA REGION, achieved the best result in its history with 1.1 million overnight stays (+3.3% compared to the previous year). April 2025 saw particularly strong growth, with 246,882 overnight stays (+18.1%) and an increase in foreign guests (+39.1%). The main markets are Germany, neighbouring countries and domestic guests.

Burgenland is Austria's second largest wine-growing region; regional wine festivals and food markets are a defining feature. Burgenland's gastronomy has received numerous national and international awards and stands for sustainable, regional and creative cuisine.
